People

Claudia Danielmeier (PI)

Claudia is an assistant professor at the University of Nottingham. She is interested in cognitive control and performance monitoring processes in healthy individuals as well as in people with mental health disorders. Her research addresses questions around error awareness, learning from errors and adaptive behaviour after errors, so called post-error adjustments. Claudia uses fMRI, EEG and brain stimulation to investigate these questions.

Jan Derrfuss (PI)

Jan is an assistant professor at the University of Nottingham. He is particularly interested in how cognitive control is related to error processing and performance monitoring. His areas of expertise are attention, working memory, brain anatomy, and fMRI. Jan has also written BerryPy, a Python tool for preprocessing behavioural data.

Joshua Kah Meng Khoo

Joshua is a teaching associate at the University of Nottingham. He investigates errors and how they contribute to learning and memory. He uses a combination of behavioural, neuroimaging and computational methods.

Ryan Elson

Ryan is a research associate at the University of Nottingham. He is interested in understanding the links between brain, behaviour and cognition. Ryan’s previous work focussed on the cortical and computational mechanisms underlying face perception. In his role as a research associate, he will be investigating changes in glutamate levels during working memory tasks in individuals with psychosis. He uses a combination of behavioural methods, interviews, computational modelling, neuroimaging and brain stimulation techniques.

Christina Sapachlari

Christina is a PhD student at the University of Nottingham. She is interested in the cognitive and metacognitive processes that allow us to monitor our thoughts and behaviour. Her PhD research investigates error monitoring and error cancellation.
